Yes. The plugin connects to Tyro Pay Connect using API credentials from your Tyro merchant portal. If you already take EFTPOS with Tyro, you're most of the way there.
Does card data touch my website?
No. Card entry happens inside Tyro's secure hosted field. Your server only ever handles opaque session tokens, which keeps your PCI compliance scope minimal.
Can I test before going live?
Yes - there's a full sandbox mode with separate test credentials, switchable from the settings screen. Run the whole flow before you flip to production.
Does it handle refunds?
Yes, full and partial refunds, directly from the WooCommerce order screen. Each refund is logged on the order with the amount and Tyro refund ID.
What about 3D Secure?
Handled automatically inside the embedded form whenever the cardholder's bank requires the extra verification step.
What currencies are supported?
Australian dollars (AUD) only - a Tyro platform requirement. The plugin enforces this and warns you if your store is set to anything else.

Yes - fully declared compatible with WooCommerce High‑Performance Order Storage (custom order tables).
What if a customer's browser crashes mid‑payment?
Tyro's signed webhook still reaches your store and completes the order. Payment confirmation never depends solely on the shopper's browser.
