WooCommerce identity verification with BronID
For Jaggards, we built BronID identity checks into WooCommerce checkout. Customers and businesses verify as they buy, and the result is saved to their account and to Microsoft Business Central.
The problem
When Jaggards moved from CoreDNA to WooCommerce, identity checks had to become part of buying online, not a separate job for the team.

We built identity checks into WooCommerce checkout and the customer account, using BronID to verify people and businesses in real time.
Personal checks
Checks customers finish in checkout
Verification is part of the checkout, so a new customer can verify and buy in one visit.
Customers choose a document and enter its details, and BronID checks them in real time.
We built the checks into a multi-step checkout, so verification feels like part of buying rather than a separate process.
Address lookup fills in the customer’s address, and unit numbers are required where needed, so the details match what BronID checks.
BronID checks have been live in checkout since the new WooCommerce store launched.

Business accounts are verified too, not just the person filling in the form.
Business customers enter their company details, and the business is checked through BronID.
Each director and shareholder can be sent to BronID for their own verification check.
Once the business is verified, the account can keep buying without repeating the same checks each time.

The Jaggards team can see who is verified without logging into another system.
The BronID verification ID and status are saved on the customer’s WooCommerce account, so verified customers are not asked again.
When BronID finishes a check, it tells the store and the customer’s verification status updates.
Verification records and logs are available in WordPress admin, with separate test and live settings for BronID.
Each customer’s verification status is also saved on their record in Microsoft Business Central.
